It wasn’t completely clear as to what the feeling was, but Felicia definitely felt different. She’d passed out on the floor of Dr. Connors underground lab and for some reason, now she was in bed. She groaned, rubbing her temples.
“What time is it?”
Her mouth was dry, and her stomach felt empty. All her muscles were stiff, and she struggled to remember what had happened. It was then that her eyes went wide, and she remembered. She had agreed to test something. Some sort of mixture of serums that was supposed to make her stronger. She reached to the side of the bed, rummaging through her bag for her watch, and nearly dropped it when she realized what day it was. She’d been unconscious for three days…
Three whole days. And how did I get back into bed…and where’s Lizard?!
She tried to get up, but her body felt foreign to her, and as she struggled, her joints creaked and her legs felt heavy. But other than feeling slightly less limber and a little dehydrated, she didn’t feel like anything had changed. Still, there was a small bit of curiosity at the back of her mind as to what that little experiment had done to her.
What the hell was in that stuff?
Still, her primary focus was finding Lizard. With her having been unconscious for so long, she had no idea what kind of state he was in. She’d been promised that he’d be back here when she returned, but she had passed out before she could confirm that. And she highly doubted he’d be unharmed. She called out for him, not really knowing if she would get a response or not.
Lizard was on the ground in front of his sofa and was whimpering. He heard her call out for him but all he was able to manage was a slight groan. Most of the wounds Goblin had done to him had regenerated and healed but there was a large chunk of SOMETHING lodged in his shoulder and since it was stuck there he couldn’t heal. His tail was unable to do anything either as it was pinned by the sofa at the tip. There were scales scattered and blood was seeping out of the wound.
